A bold site for a digital agency that makes strong use of typography. I like the minimal header, and how it gives way to a portfolio of previous work. This design was featured on the Friday 27th of January 2012. It falls under the category of Design, and has a layout style of Other. If you'd like, you can visit this site, or view all our other featured designs.

When a user searches Google, the ads are just as important as the answers. At least that's what Google says in its annual financial report filed with the SEC this afternoon. The company lists new ad formats as one of the big things it changed in 2012: For instance, with visual ads, not only can users find theater times for a new movie, users can watch the trailer directly in the ad. Location-aware search ads can help users find what they are looking for more easily by putting thousands (...)

The debate over whether streaming music is good for artists and labels rages on, but the debate over whether the concept is catching with consumers might be at least be decided. Popular streaming music service Spotify now has 3 million users worldwide, the company revealed today. Spotify is built on a “freemium” business model where users can listen to ad-supported music for free but after 6 months, the amount of free music drops to just 10 hours per month. Ideally, the service wants to (...)

It’s time to have a chat with author and freelance marketer Danny Iny. He quit school at the age of fifteen to start his first freelance web design business. The only problem with it was that it didn’t work. He then tried several other businesses, continually pushing himself. A lot of hard work and devotion paid off. Soon he saw himself guest lecturing at the John (...)

The social network Twitter is facing a storm of criticism from users, after revealing that it has implemented a system that would let it withhold particular tweets from specific countries. The company has insisted that it will not use the gagging system in a blanket fashion, but would apply it on a case-by-case basis, as already happens when governments or organisations complain about individual tweets. The new system, which can filter tweets on a country-by-country basis and has already (...)

I was really disappointed to see a recent post from somebody I admire and respect defend the validity of the new UX Developer job title that has been cropping up of late. As well as being misleading, the title, UX Developer has implications that are damaging to the field of User Experience and will hasten the current devaluation of the term. Despite what many newcomers to the industry may think, User Experience Design is a well-defined specialism as distinct from visual or interface (...)

Turmoil is all around us, old assumptions no longer valid. Richard Florida deftly lays out the scenario for the current economic and spatial Great Reset. Bob Garfield outlines the Chaos Scenario in traditional media and advertising (upon which I comment favorably here). Friendly, iron-fist in a velvet glove American liberalism-cum-imperialism is laid to waste in Chris Hedges’ Death of the Liberal Class.
